Redistributing resources from places of Excess to places of need

Our Mission:

Collect Excess Medical Supplies

  • In the U.S., expiring items like masks, gloves, clean needles, and first aid essentials are thrown away even though they are still usable and could help people.

  • In Ghana, government allocations of these kinds of basic supplies rarely make it to the rural medical districts.

  • During in person interviews in June 2024 and January 2025, medical staff in Volta Region shared their specific needs for the above basic items as well as equipment like a portable ultrasound machine, delivery bed, autoclave and baby scales.

  • We are collecting supplies from OHSU, Portland Clinic in Portland, Oregon as well as other hospitals, clinics, and individuals to keep these resources out of landfills and deploy them for good.

Collect excess Educational supplies

  • In U.S. schools and homes there is frequent turnover and discarding of educational curricula and books.

  • In rural Ghanaian schools and villages, these materials are rare and treasured. Many children without parents are also folded into the school and village community and are often in need of usable clothing.

  • We are collecting books, eduational materials, and usable clothing individuals, libraries, and schools and avoiding the waste of discarding excess that could be cherished.

Collect Laptops

When your company’s office upgrades your computers, where do the outdated ones go? We are collecting them to send and support the medical teams and schools. Just think: one laptop could help a doctor keep track of their entire village’s patients’ records instead of using paper and hoping nothing gets lost. How cool is it that a laptop your company doesn’t need anymore could end up in the hands of a doctor in a rural and underfunded clinic, helping an entire community, or a classroom of children being equipped for the 21st century? That’s the kind of difference you can help make!

Ship It To Ghana

We’re gathering donated supplies and packing them into large shipping containers to send to the port in Accra. From there, the supplies will be distributed to villages where they’re desperately needed. Every box we send is full of hope and life-saving tools to help doctors, nurses, teachers, and village leaders care for people in need.

Transport It To Villages

Once the supplies arrive at the port in Ghana, they’ll need to be unloaded and sorted into smaller vehicles. This is important because many of the remote villages are hard to reach, and smaller trucks can navigate the rougher roads to get these life-saving supplies to the people who need them most.

This is Where You Come In

We need your help to make this mission a reality! It costs $6000 to ship a half container of supplies to the port in Ghana and transport them to the villages. We have over 40 crates of supplies, now we just need the funds to ship them. But this is more than just moving supplies; it’s about building relationships with the people we’re helping every step of the way. Your generous donation isn’t just a drop in the bucket; it’s a direct contribution to life-changing work. You’ll get to see the faces you’re supporting directly through our Instagram and website. We believe that when we are resourced together, everyone wins!
